RSC Promotes 58 Officers In Ogun, Urges Dedication

The newly promoted 58 officers and men of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Ogun State have been urged to be more dedicated and discharge their duties diligently to further strengthen the agency in ensuring safety of lives on the roads across the country.

According to punchng.com. The Ogun State Sector Commander of agency, Mr. Adegoke Adetunji, made this admonition after the men had been decorated with their new ranks in Abeokuta.

Forty-five of them were in the officers’ cadre while the remaining 13 were in the lower cadre.

The 45 officers were promoted from the ranks of Assistant Route Commanders to Deputy Route Commanders, while the 13 marshals (junior officers) were elevated from the ranks of Marshal Inspectors to Senior Marshal Inspectors.

Adetunji told the newly promoted officers and men to see their promotion as a call for more responsibilities, adding that this was the only way to justify their new positions.

He said, “I want all of you who are being celebrated today to, as a matter of fact, gird your loins and brace for the challenges that come with your new positions.

“As you know, reward is a call for more hard work; hence, you must not relent in your efforts to ensure FRSC is positioned on a solid and enviable height.

“As a body saddled with the responsibility of ensuring safety of lives on our roads, I want to charge you to go out there and make use of the experience you have garnered over the years to make sure our roads are indeed safe.”

While advising them to continue to uphold the good image of the FRSC, he stressed that they should always display a high sense of efficiency in discharging their duties.

He said, “The agency will not hesitate to reward hard work and diligence, but it will also not condone any act capable of bringing disrepute to it.”

Responding on behalf of the 58 newly promoted officers and men, Kayode Babatunde, expressed their readiness to work harder to justify the confidence FRSC reposed in them.
